About

Psychotherapist and founder Maranda Barskey works at the intersection of creativity and wellness. With a background spanning classical ballet, acting, and studio art alongside movement, meditation, holistic health, and clinical psychology, her work has always explored how subtle inputs shape inner experience. Over time, that work evolved from teaching yoga and mindfulness and leading workshops for global brands to designing psychologically informed experiences that integrate music, presence, and sensory awareness.

Halsonus emerged from both professional insight and personal loss. After losing her mother, sister, and dog in short succession, Maranda turned inward, listening closely to her body and nervous system. Through scent, sound, and tactile creation, she began crafting the tools she most needed—simple, sensory supports that could help shift state, restore balance, and rebuild from the inside out. Rooted in the understanding that the body and brain are guided by ancient, self-organizing systems that function without conscious force, Halsonus translates that physiology into functional, therapy-informed tools designed to support presence, clarity, and restoration in everyday life.
